OUR MISSION & HISTORY

BRINGING TRAINING WHERE ITS NEEDED MOST

Mark formed Mark Keogh Training initially to train in 4WD, Recovery and Towing.  Mark has a vast history with 4WD not only in Western Australia but also in all other states of Australia with this work with Toyota Motor Corporation and Nissan Motors Australia.

Mark and his family have been in the Pilbara for almost 10 years, this move came from a life changing decision to sell up, pack up and leave Victoria in search of the best possible lifestyle the Keogh Family could find. The Pilbara delivered this aspiration in spades!

Having being born and raised in NSW Snowy Mountains, 4WD was a way of life. Learning to drive at an early age was the norm with all the kids learning to drive in the paddocks in Dad’s 40 series Land Cruiser jammed in low range so it wouldn’t “get away” from the learner drivers.

Fast forward to the current decade and Mark was fortunate to be employed in a training capacity at Nissan Motor Company. This role not only allowed him to pass on information about Nissan’s fleet of vehicles but also go to show people what the vehicles capabilities were to Dealership Staff, Media, Corporate Clients as well as Customers who purchased Nissan Vehicles. This period of time also involved with membership with various 4wd Club performing Trip Leading roles and Training Events.

Highlights of this time included several crossings of the Simpson Desert, Oodnadatta, CREB track in FNQ, Vic High Country, NSW Snowy Mountains, Flinders Range, Gibb River Rd, CSR, Gunbarrel Highway to name just a few!

Most recently Newman locals would be familiar with Mark when he arrived in Newman in April 2015 from Karratha to setup the local ARB 4×4 Accessories Retail Shop.  Although this was a rewarding experience it did, however, keep Mark from being “out in the bush”.  In addition, Mark is an active Volunteer Ambulance Office with some 2,000 hrs serving the people of Newman and visitors to our little town.

Present time finds the creation of Mark Keogh Training which now not only caters for the 4WD Sector but also individuals who wish to gain further experience and knowledge.  Now the business has expanded even further with services that include;

  • Nationally recognised First Aid training from basic CPR to Industrial and Advanced First Aid

  • Mental Health First Aid

  • Workplace Safety

  • Sports and Recreation

The opportunity now exists for West Australians to be training with Nationally Recognised Certification with the partnerships Mark Keogh Training has established with reputable RTO’s.
